Go deeper with your AI Guide

Not a simple chatbot. Guide is one ongoing AI conversation that picks up where you left off and draws on practices inspired by psychology research.

A Guide conversation exploring a hard decision, in light mode

One conversation, not a pile of chats

There's nothing to set up and nothing to choose from. You open the Guide and say what's on your mind, whether that's a hard morning, a decision you keep circling, or something you've carried for years. It all lives in one continuous thread, so the work you did last month is still there under the conversation you're having today.

It remembers you over time

Guide isn't a fresh stranger every time you open it. It keeps saved memories from your conversations, and if you turn on Journal memory, it can learn from your entries too. You can turn Journal memory off any time in settings.

Rooted in real practice

Before each conversation, your Guide plans where to take it: what to teach, what to ask, and what it's working toward with you. That's why it doesn't just ask questions back at you. It names the pattern it sees, teaches one concrete skill drawn from a vetted library inspired by psychology research, and gives you something real to try. Here are some of the approaches it draws on.

CBT-inspired reframing

Noticing and gently reframing unhelpful thoughts.

Values work (ACT)

Anchoring choices in what genuinely matters to you.

Self-compassion

Treating yourself with the kindness you'd give a friend.

Parts work (IFS)

Getting to know your inner parts with curiosity.

Positive psychology

Building wellbeing by noticing what's going well.

Nonviolent Communication

Naming needs and boundaries with honesty and care.

Radical acceptance

Accepting hard reality so you can respond to it.

Behavioral activation

Building momentum through small, doable actions.

A supportive guide, not a therapist

Guide is AI built for reflection and self-discovery. It asks good questions, helps you spot patterns and gives you something real to try. It isn't a therapist, and it'll say so when something needs more support than reflection can give.

Encrypted with your key

Your chats are encrypted on your device before they're stored, with a key we don't hold. To reply, Guide sends your messages to Anthropic, which powers our AI.
