Preparing for Parenthood

You want to face the identity shift of becoming a parent with honesty, process the fears and grief, and clarify who you actually want to be.

Navigate the biggest identity shift of your life with honesty and self-compassion. Over 14 days, you'll process the fears, expectations, and grief that come with becoming a parent, and start building the kind of parent you actually want to be, not the one you think you should be.

Where it goes

This journey is for anyone preparing for parenthood who knows the shift is bigger than nursery furniture and sleep schedules. Over 14 days, you'll process what you're actually feeling, not just what you think you should feel, and start building the kind of parent you choose to be.

The approach

ACT + Social Connection

This journey asks you to clarify the parent you want to be while honoring the grief, fear, and uncertainty that come with it. That's classic ACT territory: values work plus willing contact with hard feelings. The reflective structure leans on expressive writing throughout.

KindMind is an online journal with tools for self-discovery and growth. We draw on these approaches because they hold up well in self-guided work. This is not treatment, and it is not a substitute for working with a therapist or counselor when that is the right call.
